Semi-Custom Homes by Stewart Knowles
Make it yours.
Skip the
construction loan.
Choose a homesite and a curated floor plan, personalize the design selections still available for your home, then purchase it complete at closing. No buyer-arranged construction loan.
Why Semi-Custom
The personal touches of custom. The simplicity of a finished home.
The homesite and plan are set. The choices that make a house feel like yours are still open. And the purchase happens once, at closing.
01
Personal choices
Start from a curated floor plan, then choose from the finishes still open for your home, so it reflects how you live.
02
No construction loan to arrange
Stewart Knowles builds the home. You purchase it complete at closing, typically with a traditional mortgage or cash, instead of managing a construction loan and draw schedule.
03
Guidance throughout the build
Our team walks you through pricing, selections and progress updates, so you always know what is decided and what comes next.
One curated plan. Your finishes. A single, simple closing.
Semi-Custom Homes are for homeowners who want a place that feels personal, without taking on the design and financing of a fully custom build.
How it works
Four clear steps, from homesite to closing.
The decisions come in a clear order, and our team is with you at each one.

Choose a homesite and plan
Browse available homesites and the curated floor plans offered for each. We'll help you compare layouts and find the right fit for how you live.
02
Review pricing and reserve
See the home's price and available upgrades in writing. Your deposit and any added costs are reviewed with you before you decide to move forward.
03
Personalize available details
Choose from the design selections still open at your home's stage of construction. We'll show you what's available and when each decision is needed.
04
Complete the home and close
We finish construction and walk the home with you, then you purchase it at closing. Timing follows construction progress, and we keep you updated along the way.
An honest note on selections
Available selections depend on each home's stage of construction. Homes earlier in the build usually have more options open; homes further along may already have some finishes chosen. We'll show you exactly what's still available for any home you're considering.
Deposits and the cost of any added selections are reviewed with you before you move forward.

Questions
Good to know.
Have a question that isn't covered here? Our team is happy to talk it through.
Contact Our TeamWhat makes a home semi-custom?
You start with a Stewart Knowles homesite and a curated floor plan, then personalize the design selections still available for that home. It's more focused than a fully custom build, which keeps decisions clear.
Do I need a construction loan?
No. You don't arrange a construction loan. Stewart Knowles builds the home, and you purchase the completed home at closing, typically with a traditional mortgage or cash. Any mortgage is subject to your lender's approval.
Which selections can I make?
It depends on the home's stage of construction. Earlier in the build, more finishes are usually open; later, some may already be selected. We'll show you what's available for the specific home.
How do deposits and added costs work?
Your deposit and the cost of any added selections are reviewed with you before you move forward, so you know what you're agreeing to.
When will my home be ready?
Completion depends on construction progress, weather and selections, so we don't promise a fixed closing date. We'll share a realistic estimate for your home and keep you updated along the way.
Where can I see what's available?
Current homes are listed on our Available Homes page. You can also contact our team to ask what's coming next.
